Life in General

Running, running, here and there,
Things to do, and things to know,
Need to hurry – need to move,
Need to finish, need to grow.

Projects, schoolwork, every day,
Filling hour after hour,
Building knowledge, building skills,
Honing intellectual power.

Hurrying to find the time
For life’s other, better side,
For the love, and thought, and care
Greater far than human pride.

Need to listen, need to love,
Need to take the time for prayer,
To relax with family,
Cherish moments rich and rare.

Life is full of many things,
But I know there’ll always be
Time for God and time for love,
For these mean the most to me.
